This is a naïve watercolour on board. It is signed J M Wibberley and inscription on the reverse (part damaged underneath the framing tape) suggests the picture was presented as a gift in August 1910, suggesting it was painted that year or shortly before.
It depicts a man on horseback and a young woman, with a blacksmith in the background. It is mounted under glass in a gilt frame.
