This is a vintage embroidery, mounted in a frame and under glass. Although the precise age is unknown, it's thought to date from the early to mid 20th century.
It depicts a young girl/woman in traditional Dutch costume and on a flower decorated shoreline, waving, flower in hand, to two small sailing boats on the water. The skyline includes seagulls.
The border of the embroidery is decorated with small flowers. The girl's dress is ornately decorated with a floral theme.

It's in good general condition but with marks associated with age and use. There has been some fading to the material and it's likely there has been colour fading as well over the years but each colour remains clear and distinctive. Please see the photographs.
