Late 19th Century silver plate trefoil tantalus bottle stand
This Victorian silver plate (on copper) three-bottle tantalus/bottle stand is in the Art Nouveau style.
The base stands on three decorated feet and three bottle rings are connected by smaller rings possibly for corks. The handle is on the end of a tapered column, which is decorated with leaf motifs. The silver plate is worn in places to reveal the copper underneath.
It's a heavy item, weighing more than 1.5Kg

There is some loss of silver plate which adds to its character. There is some movement of the base plate where it meets one of the feet, although overall the structure appears solid. The overall condition and need for some attention is reflected in the price.
