This is a very large oval serving platter, with a busy repeated pattern around the edge and traditional Japanese Willow theme illustration (transfer printed) in the centre.
The scene includes buildings, garden features, birds and boats.It is a sizeable and dramatic serving dish, ideal as a dramatic table feature for any occasion. It most probably dates from the middle of last century.
